The Avondale Fire Company was alerted to the Wawa at route 41 & Baltimore Pike for a building fire. The report given was a odor of smoke coming from inside the building, and the store employees were evacuating. The chief arrived on scene with nothing showing. Once on scene, crews used thermal imaging cameras to search the inside of the building. Engine 22's crew along with Engine 23-2 deployed a ladder to check the roof. No problem was found and the company went available.
