On Saturday Night Avondale Fire held it annual banquet. The banquet
was held at the Red Clay Room in Kennett. The night started at 1800
hrs with a social hour and invocation, while a slide show of the year’s
events played on the projector. That was followed by dinner which
was, chicken marsala, baked ziti, prime rib, ham, potatoes, green
beans and various desserts. Dinner was followed by the program which
was announced by EMS supervisor Rob Linnenbaugh. The company thanked
Jason and Ricky for the work in getting the web site up and running.
The awards were given out and the raffles were pulled. Then the night
of fun and dancing began. The company had a great time dancing to
its traditional song the “SHOUT”, were all the Avondale
firefighters join in a circle and place their feet in the air when
the main verse plays. The company would like to thank Cochranville
for the cover up they provided during the festivities.
