working chimney fire in the residence. The crews assisted Longwood
crews with the 35ft ladder from Engine 23-1 in removing creosote
build-up from the chimney and checking for extension. Engine
23-3 remained available on the scene and Tanker 23 was returned
shortly after arriving. With the cold weather upon us it is
important to remember to keep your chimney cleaned and free
of build-up to prevent hazards such as this.
