First Annual Basket Bingo November 11, 2007 The Avondale Fire Company hosted there first annual basket bingo on Sunday November 11, 2007. We had approximate 130 people that attended. The Auxiliary committee worked on this event for months. Arranged on tables were door prizes, 20 Longaberger Baskets and Pottery prizes for each bingo game and a consolation prize. Attendees purchased their sheets of bingo cards for the 20 games they would play and a coverall card for and additional fee. There were chances for a “50/50” drawing and tickets for three other raffle prizes. In between sets of games, door prize tickets were drawn for both Longaberger items, and throughout the entire afternoon volunteers sold chicken corn soup, chicken salad sandwiches, baked goods and drinks.
