LDH Testing

On Wednesday's work night, a crew took on the task of testing the LDH( 5 inch hose) on Engine 23-3. Crews started by having junior members John Morris and Lauren Sullivan wrap the hydrant while the engine drove away. Once all 1300 feet of hose were laid, the end was connected to the truck. The junior members then charged the line and pressure was placed on the line. After counting and checking each coupling the hose was then packed back in the hosebed to be used another time.
Over the next month the company will test it's other two engine's 5" to make sure the hose has no leaks.
