Firehouse Progress Continues

Recently, our volunteer members have been spending their weekly training/work detail Wednesday nights and weekends at our new firehouse that is currently under construction. As many of you may see by driving by everyday, the work is coming along nicely. The engine and ambulance bays are nearing completion with the painting almost done and the installation of lighting. The executive side of the building is completely framed out and most of the drywall has been installed. Electric is throughout the building and HVAC and plumbing work is underway. Some of the work the members have been doing includes but is not limited to: cleaning up of construction debris, minor carpentry work, concrete work and parking guard installation, installation of switch boxes and conduit. We plan to complete as much work as we can to help offset the cost of construction. We are very excited about moving into a modern facility and finally having the space that we need. We look to make this move sometime this Spring.
