Accident with Entrapment on Chesterville Road

On Friday December 12, 2008, at 1709 hours the Avondale Fire Company along with Medic 94 and Rescue 22 were dispatched for an accident with entrapment on the 100 block of Chesterville Road, Chief 23 (Swift) responded with-in minutes. While enroute the fireboard had reported that there was no injuries, but the subject is stuck in the car. Moments after that Chief 23 arrived on scene and reported one car in the embankment, with a telephone support pole in the middle of the road with guy wires hanging in the roadway. Engine 23-1, Engine 23-3, and Ambulance 23-2 all arrive on scene shortly after. Engine 23-1’s orders were to send the man power to the scene, and lead off with a roof ladder for extrication. Engine 23-3’s crew reported to the scene to assist with the extrication. Ambulance 23-2 received sign-off’s, and PECO, and PSP-A were notified. Fire apparatus was clear of the scene at approximately 1745 hours, Fire Police remained on scene until PECO arrived.
