The Curves on Newark Road Strike Again March 31th, 2008 On Monday March 31st, 1005 hours Station 23 was alerted for an auto accident with possible entrapment on the infamous Newark Road Curves. Deputy 23 arrived on scene and stated that there were two cars blocking the road and no entrapment. He informed the incoming apparatus that there were two to be checked out. Chief 23 arrived and established C.P. 23. Micu 25-2 which was covering Ambulance 23 because of a prior EMS call transported one patient to CER. Avondale crews checked the cars for hazards and assisted with reopening the roadway which Deputy 23 had fire police close due to the blocking vehicles. Units: Engine 23-1, Traffic 23, Chief 23
