Auto Accident on the Bypass

At 12:57 hours the West Grove Fire Company along with Ambulance 23-2 were dispatched to Southbound Route 1 in the area of the 841 overpass for an auto accident. Ambulance 23-2 arrived on scene advising the fire board that the call was in Avondale's local. At 13:04 hours Station 23 was dispatched for the engine. 94-61 arrived on scene and established the "Bypass Command" at 13:06 hours. Chief 23 arrived on scene at 13:12 hours and assumed "Route 1 Command". Once the patients were evaluated it was determined that Micu 25-2 and Ambulance 22-2 would not be utilized. Ambulance 21-2 along with Medic 94-1 transported one patient to Chirstiana Hospital and Ambulance 23-2 transported two patients to Jennersville Regional Hospital. Fire Police did an exceptional job directing traffic around the incident. The engine crew pulled a booster line due to gas leaking from the vehicle. All crews cleared at 13:41 hours.
