Company Runs Two Wrecks on Route 7

On Saturday around 13:42 hours Station 23 was dispatched to Old Limestone Road and Route 7 for an auto accident. Battalion Chief 23 (designated by the chief for the day due to the Chicken BBQ) was first on scene and reported a vehicle off the roadway into a ditch with all occupants out of the vehicle. Engine 23-1 arrived on scene and checked the vehicle for hazards. One patient was transported to Christiana via Ambulance 23-1. Crews were released at 1407 hours.

At 17:49 hours Station 23 was alerted back to Route 7 and Kaolin Rd. for an accident reported serious. With multiple calls the fire board redispatched Medic 94 for the assist on an upgraded accident with possible entrapment. Chief 23 and Engine 23-1 arrived on scene and began stabilization and cribbing of the vehicle. Once the vehicle was stabilized crews assisted with patient packaging.
