Assist Hockessin with a House.

On Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 1330 hours Avondale Fire Company was alerted to assist New Castle County Station 19 on a house fire. Engine 23-2 made the response at 1333 hours with a crew of five under the command of Chief 23. Upon arrival the crew from Engine 23-2 was sent to the second floor to ventilate the dwelling. After ventilating the crew assisted on the first floor and basement with checking for extension and overhaul. Engine 23-1 made the response but was quickly redirected to standby at Station 19 with a crew of six under the command of Captain 23.
