Blittersdorf to the Rescue

On Saturday February 2nd, the Avondale Ambulance Division was dispatched for an equestrian accident at Dugan Farms off Byrd Road in West Marlborough Township. Upon arrival, the owner instructed the ambulance crew that the patient was in a field behind the stables. Ambulance 23-1 drove off road as directed and ended up getting stuck due to the recent rainfall. Ambulance 23-2 responded immediately to assist and the patient was transported in this unit. A crew remained (Safety 23, Lieutenant 23A) behind to assist with removing Ambulance 23-1. We would like to send a special thanks to Blittersdorf's Towing & Salvage, especially Tom and Mike Blittersdorf along with Bob Eller. Also, we would like to thank Dan Osbourne from New Bolton Center for the use of his tractor.
