Annual Chicken BBQ, Bake Sale and Yard Sale

......Sunday, June 7, 2008 Avondale Fire Company held their annual Chicken BBQ/Yard Sale/ Bake Sale. Members worked throughout the morning cooking and preparing chicken. Members of the Auxiliary Committee worked extremely hard preparing and organizing the engine bay which had been cleared out to make room for the Yard "Engine Bay" Sale. The day was a great success. Thanks to all that came out to support the community and the Avondale Fire Company. A special thanks to all our sponsors and donators.

......**Due to the officers having other commitments Chief 23 per the Chester County Fire Board assigned Past Chief Decker as Battalion Chief 23 for the day to run incident command. Our other officers were committed to barbecuing the chicken. Lieutenant Dijoseph was the officer on Engine 23-2 and Safety 23 (Bessicks) was officer on Engine 23-1. Thanks to all crews for a job well done running four calls throughout the event.**
