Avondale Crew Covers Belvedere

Date: July 26, 2008
By: Firefighter John Morris IV

On Saturday morning a crew of five members headed to Belvedere, Delaware. Belvedere (NCC Station 30) was taking a bus trip to the Fire Expo in Baltimore, MD and needed a crew to cover their district for the day due to a large base of their members attending the event. Avondale staffed Engine 23-2 and arrived at Belvedere at 0800 hours. The day went by uneventful until 1605 hours when the engine was dispatched for a residential fire alarm. Crews arrived on scene and after checking the residence it was determined to be a false alarm. After returning back to Belvedere the engine crew handed over the map books and radios to Farmington Fire Company who had the second shift of the standby. Avondale would like to thank NCC Station 30 (Belvedere) for the food and hospitality.
