Assist 24: Smoke in a Building Date: January 28, 2010 At 1706 hours the Avondale Fire Company was alerted along with the Kennett Fire Company (Station 24) and the Longwood Fire Company (Station 25) for “Smoke in a Building” at the Kennett Square Laundromat on Washington Street. Shortly after dispatch Deputy 24 arrived on scene and assumed command. Engine 23-2 arrived on scene with orders to throw a ladder to the “A” side. Burned insulation was removed from the attic and 23 units cleared the scene at 1759hours.
