House Fire on Baltimore Pike

On the morning of February 10, 2010 at 09:08 Hours, The Avondale Fire Company, West Grove Fire Company, and The Kennett Fire Company for two engines were dispatched for a reported house fire in the 1600 block of Baltimore Pike. Assistant 23 was in the area and arrived on scene to find smoke showing and also confirmed a working basement fire. Engine 23-2 and Chief 23 were enroute and arrived on scene shortly after. The crew from Engine 23-2 stretched an 1-3/4" handline through the first floor door to the basement. After the fire and multiple hot spots were extinguished overhaul operations went into effect and units were clear at 10:42 Hours.
