Date: April 30, 2010 During the early afternoon at 13:23 hours, on April 30, 2010 The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched for a tractor fire on Church Road. 23-10 went on scene moments later and confirmed a tractor well involved. Rescue 23 arrived on scene with a crew of five and personnel pulled an 1.75" handline utilizing foam for suppression. While crews were masking up one of the tires from the tractor blew off and landed in the field adjacent to the tractor. Minutes later Engine 23-2 arrived on scene to help re-supply Rescue 23. The incident was declared under control and minor "hot spots" were cleaned up.
