Date: May 8, 2010 After finishing a CPR/AED class at station 23, Rescue 23 with a crew of seven traveled to Malvern, Station 4, for their annual safety day. While at Malvern, Rescue 23 participated in the landing of PennStar 2 Medical Helicopter. Their were many activities to see and much to learn at the safety day. Some activities included the use of fire extinguishers, vehicle rescue, aerial rapelling from Tower 47, multiple 1.75" hand lines (one with foam), and a demonstration structure fire. The Avondale Fire Company would like to thank the Malvern Fire Company and surrounding companies for allowing us to participate in the Safety Day.
